Why does card size matter? Stores that laminate ID cards, passport-photo counters, and most PVC card printers expect an exact paper size โ a CR80 card is 85.6 ร 54 mm and a PAN card print is 85.6 ร 53.98 mm. If your image is a few millimetres off, the laminate pocket or printer tray rejects it. Cropping your PDF to the precise dimensions up front avoids the whole problem.
In the converter above, select a preset like CR80 ID Card or PAN Card Paper, and an exact-size crop box appears on the page preview. Drag it over your card, use the corner handles to re-fit it, and fine-tune the position with the arrow keys at 400% zoom. For downloaded e-Aadhaar PDFs, use Front + Back, 1 page mode so both sides are captured from the same page, then combine them side-by-side or as two separate files.
Getting a print-ready file
Set the DPI to 300 for crisp print output (600 if you plan to crop further), turn on the white-background option to remove scan shadows, and export as PDF for a millimetre-accurate page that any printer will handle. The A4 Print Sheet button lays out as many card copies as fit on one A4 sheet with light cut guides, so you can print, cut and laminate several cards at once.
